Mr. Dennis Baylis (Hearts Coordinator)

Mr. Dennis Baylis

Hello, my name is Dennis Baylis and I’m the new HEARTS After-School Coordinator and greatful for the opportunity being here at Mountain View and would like to share a little bit about myself.

I come from a family of teachers as my mother Trudy Baylis was a Spanish Bilingual instructional aide here at Mtn View 35+ years ago and my sister Lisa Kells works at the District Office as the Coordinator of Curriculum for ELA at the Secondary level and my Brother-In-Law Coleman Kells just retired as Principal at University Heights and is a POSA at Sierra Middle School until that position is filled. My wife Kimberly works at Colton High as a counselor. I enjoy travelling, getting massages, bing watch Netflix shows and I also work with At Risk and foster teens at the Grove Community Church. I’ve been in the Healthcare and IT Business industry for 30+ years.

I never thought in a million years that I would ever be working with students from Special Ed mild moderate and severe at the various RUSD sites to kids at the Stem Academy and what I’ve learned over the past 4 1/2 years of being in Education is that each of these wonderful children despite their gifts and challenges are the future leaders of tomorrow and so my sincere desire is to encourage, support and pass on whatever knowledge I can to get them to the next level of their life and hopefully one day build a bridge between education and the business world. I certainly look forward to meeting and working with each and every one you here at Mountain View,
