Hello, I am Emerson Treacy and I am very honored to be a 4th grade  teacher here at Mt. View!  I have been teaching for more than 23 years now and have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades as well as adult education.  I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara.  I earned my teaching credential from Chapman University.  I have a master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) from Azusa Pacific University.  I am currently participating in RUSD’s Science Renaissance Project focusing on science education in elementary school.

I find it very rewarding to be a part of our Dual Language Immersion program and to be able to see students’ growth and excellence in their use of both Spanish and English across all settings including academic settings.

I enjoy planning and preparing learning projects and activities for our students.  Traveling and learning about other cultures has been a great interest of mine.  I also love bicycle touring, backpacking, and sailing.  I love to make up songs that I can sing and play on the piano.

I love learning myself and I am always so happy to see my students learning too!  It is wonderful to be here at Mountain View with our hard working and brilliant students and staff!
