Ms. Saldivar

Mrs. Amparo Saldivar

Hello Mountain View family,

I am Amparo Saldivar and I have been teaching second grade DLI here at Mountain View for last three years. I graduated from Hope International University with a B.S. in Human Development, and I obtained my teaching credential at Cal State Fullerton. I started my career in 1999 in the field of early childhood education working with the community of Corona and Riverside as a Head Start teacher. I started teaching elementary at Corona Norco USD as a Reading Intervention teacher.  I was offered the opportunity to come to RUSD as Spanish teacher at Arlington High, and later I joined the wonderful Mountain View’s staff.  As a Dual Immersion teacher, I place high value on bilingualism. I feel honored to be part of the preservation and diffusion of the Spanish language. I come from a family that loves Mexican folk music and dancing, and I hope to be able to transfer this love for the Hispanic culture to my students. Some of the things I enjoy is visiting my native town in Zacatecas and going camping with my husband and our four children. I also have a beautiful five-year-old granddaughter who reminds me every day of the beauty of childhood.  I look forward to an exciting school year with all of you, Road Runners!
