Ms. Christy Wong

 Coming soon  Ms. Christy Wong

Hi, my name is Christy Wong, and I am a first grade teacher at Mt. View. I am thrilled to be joining the staff and students at Mt. View. I have been in education for 14 years. I taught in RUSD at Monroe Elementary School for 9 years, teaching 2nd-5th grades, and then took a hiatus from teaching to be home with my four young children. I have most recently been teaching Computers, PE, and Yearbook at a K-8th grade public charter school, and I am excited to be returning to RUSD where my teaching career began. I am a bi-product of RUSD schools, attending Jefferson Elementary, Sierra Middle School, and North High School. I received my Bachelor’s, teaching credential, and Master’s in Instructional Technology from Cal Baptist University.

I absolutely love teaching, and find joy in helping students learn and be successful. I am very passionate about integrating technology in education and equipping students with skills that will help them to be successful in the 21st century. One of my passions is traveling; I enjoy seeing the world and learning about other cultures. I try to share that global perspective and mindset with my students, and teach them that each and every person has a contribution to make to this world. My class motto is: “Be kind, work hard, and know that you are loved.” I believe that it is important to connect with my students and their families, and I am looking forward to a great 2017-18 school year.
