Mrs. Wilson - RSP Teacher

Coming soon
Mrs. Wilson
Hello.  I am Mrs. Wilson, the Resource Specialist teacher.  I have lived in Riverside for almost 30 years, and     graduated from North High School in 1990.  Upon graduation, I attended the University of California, Riverside and graduated double major in 1994 with a Bachelor's in Psychology and Political Science.  I always believed that someday I would pursue a profession in education, but instead worked in other professions for 10 years.  Finally, when my family and I moved to Upstate New York, I had the opportunity to become a substitute teacher for South Colonie School District.  For two years, I subbed in elementary schools, and discovered that I greatly preferred the small group interaction with students in the Special Education setting.  I also felt that working in Special Education was the most rewarding for me, as I can have the most positive and significant impact on young learners.  When we returned to California, I enrolled at California Baptist School of Education and earned both a Multiple Subject K-6 credential as well as an Education Specialist credential for Mild/Moderate Disabilities.  I performed my student teaching at Mountain View in 2011 and never left.  I was hired for the 2011/2012 school year as the 5/6 Special Day Class teacher.  After 4 years in SDC, I became the Resource Specialist teacher, and this is my second year in RSP.  I look forward to an enriching and exciting year at Mountain View, where students become lifelong learners.
